Nice friendly front desk staff but inexperienced technician & vet. Owner vet hired young vets only and have a business model of No-vet-assign to you model. My cat was diagnosed on December 29 2018 and was told to see the owner vet Dr. Hughes on January 3 at 9. She never showed up but a young technician showed up to teach me how to inject my cat with no instructions. I insisted and got an email 2 days later from a tech. I had to learn that i had to roll the Pro-Zinc gentlely from the product monograhy. I asked for glucose meter and they said there is no need & they use a hands off treatment. I brought Sunkist back 2 weeks later & her sugar remained high. they did not change anything or scheduled a glucose cycle test like other vets did (i found out too late). because of the poor insulin mgt., my cat developed diabetic ketaoacidosis. I called them about my cat losing weight & they said just to change food & didnt ask me to bring her in. I called again but only talked to technician. I hired their endorsed cat sitter to watch my cat for 5 days. she was nice. after my return, i noticed my cat lost weight and she said she told one of the vets but no one called. I subsequently called them 4 times & one vet called back . i did not connect with her. I called again & again & no one answered. the sitter said none of the vets are available that weekend.. The end result: my cat was too sick to be saved after spending 16 days (3 visits) at the TVEH. NO ONE from Don Head called. the sitter texted me a few times, but not the vets. They are negligent because they did not follow the diabetes treatment protocol nor cared enough to call me back. they just take on more clients & charge me clients. Sad mal-practice .
